Safeguarding Group B training
Face to Face one day training
Target Audience: All practitioners who have regular contact with adults, children and members of the public in their roles. This includes practitioners who are or aren't registered or regulated and volunteers.
Aims
- New workers with no previous safeguarding training should have training in the first two to four weeks of employment or volunteering, or at least within the probation period of a new role (six months).
- There may also be additional training on topics specific to the role.
- Refresher training, learning and development should be: a minimum of six hours ongoing over a three-year period
Outcomes
- This will support the principles - I am a key part of the safeguarding process
- I know when, how and who to report to
- I will make sure the individual's voice is heard.

- 5th February 2026, 9.30am - 4.30pm in Committee Room A, County Hall, Llandrindod Wells
- 1st April 2026, 9.30am - 4.30pm in Room 2.01, 2nd Floor, Ladywell House, Newtown
- 21st April 2026, 9.30am - 4.30pm in Y Bannau, Ty Brycheiniog, Brecon
There is no charge to attend these courses, however a cancellation charge may apply to non-attendance if sufficient notice is not given
