Drugs and Alcohol Support

Our aim is to reduce alcohol and drug dependency across Powys, and to encourage people, with support, to lead healthier more fulfilled lives.

We do so in partnership with the following organisations and online support services.

Kaleidoscope provides help and support for adults living in Powys dealing with alcohol or drug abuse.

Adferiad provide Information, Education advice and support for young people living in Powys who are currently experiencing difficulties with Drug or Alcohol use.

They both provide individualised care, offering a level of support relevant to each person needs.

This could include:

  • Advice
  • Advocacy
  • Counselling/therapeutic support using a variety of approaches
  • 'Tier 2' services, such as needle exchange, acupuncture, and access to diversionary activities
  • Kaleidoscope have recently introduced take-home naloxone
  • BBV Testing
  • Community supported Detox

How do I get help?

You can refer yourself or ask a doctor or social worker to refer you. All referrals are kept confidential.
