Ways to Pay

MM way to pay

Pay by Direct Debit

It is the easiest way of paying your rent and you will know that it will be paid on time.

You can either set up a Direct Debit over the phone, removing the need for paper forms, or you can complete the online form.

Pay Online

You can pay your rent online with a credit or debit card by using our Online Payments facility.  Your card details will not be stored by the Council and at no time will they be visible, or accessible outside the secure banking network.

24-hour Payment Line

You can use the 24-hour telephone service to pay your rent by using a debit or credit card via our automated payment line: 03300 889 578.

Rent Statements

You can request statements on an annual, bi-annual or quarterly basis either by post or by email. Contact us on 01597 827464 to set this up.

Rent free weeks

If you pay your rent weekly and you are up to date with your payments, then your rent-free weeks are:

  • 22 December 2025
  • 29 December 2025
  • 23 March 2026
  • 30 March 2026

If you pay your rent by Direct Debit, then your rent-free weeks are incorporated when your monthly payments are calculated.  This is to ensure that you receive your rent-free weeks even though you pay rent for the 12 months of the year.

If you wish to check your rent account balance, please contact the Housing Service on 01597 827464.
