Find out about holiday activities in Powys
Powys County Council is funding Easter holiday activities at 4 locations across Powys using local activity providers. The activities are being provided for 5-17 year olds at each location from 29th March to 9th April (excluding the bank holidays). Sessions will be led by council staff, including Sport Powys staff, working with local partners including Activ8kids, Brecknock Play Network, Play Radnor and the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
Overview of activities
Sport Powys
Sports Powys will be providing a range of sports equipment to keep the children active throughout the sessions.
Play Radnor
Free Play sessions with experienced play workers from Play Radnor, sessions include but not limited to, crafts, messy play, games, construction, den making and active play opportunities.
Activ8Kids
Activ8Kids provide a wide range of flexible and stimulating sports activities for children. Activ8Kids provision encourages children to get out in the fresh air and take part in some massively fun sports and games activities. Your child is sure to have an amazing time making friends, building self-esteem and developing their skills in a fun and safe environment for all involved.
Fire Service
The Fire Service will be attending one day each week providing a wide range of activities such as:
- Road safety activity
- Gutter ball game
- Throw line game for water safety discussion
- Scavenger hunt to find and collect items of equipment

- Ystradgynlais - Golwg y Cwm - 10am - 12noon
- Welshpool - COWSHACC, Welshpool - 10am - 12noon
- Newtown - Hafren Primary School - 1:30 - 3:30pm
- Llandrindod - Youth Centre - 10am - 12noon
The Fire Service will be at each venue on the following days:
- Welshpool and Newtown - Tuesday
- Llandrindod - Wednesday
- Ystradgynlais - Thursday

Places are limited and will be prioritised and allocated in accordance with Welsh Government guidance. These sessions are in line with Covid regulations and operating guidance but please be aware could be cancelled at last minute by the Welsh Government.
