The council has a responsibility to keep the roads and footpaths safe to use. We are responsible for maintaining the roads, pavements and footways of adopted highways throughout Powys.
We inspect our adopted highways on a regular basis. Any area of road or pavement which we think might be an imminent danger to road users or pedestrians is noted and a repair arranged.
For hazardous roads during winter weather, please see our page about Winter gritting
