The Powys Local Development Plans, which set out the Council's strategy for the sustainable development of the area, cover all of Powys except for those parts of the county located within the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.

The Adopted Local Development Plan (2011 - 2026) is used by the Council to guide and manage development, providing a basis by which planning applications are determined.  It will be in place until March 2026 and can be viewed using the Adopted LDP link  below.

Work is now progressing on a Replacement Local Development Plan (2022 - 2037).
