Read how the Financial Support Officers have helped our tenants.
A tenant received help from her Financial Support Officer with applying for Universal Credit in her own right. Her parent had sadly passed away; she was succeeding the tenancy and needed help in navigating the benefits system and to what she was entitled. She also had advice on how to claim for Bereavement Support and help towards the funeral costs. "I cannot thank you enough for all of your help and support at such a difficult time."

"Thank you so very much with all my heart. You made a huge difference to our lives. I was desperate and felt I had no one to turn too. In one phone call you eased so much stress and worry and made me feel less of a failure. Words cannot express how grateful I am."
A tenant contacted the Financial Support Officers because she had been struggling to pay all of her bills including her food shop. She didn't think she would be able to get any help as she had some savings which she had been using every month to help pay for things. She was eligible for help and now she doesn't have to worry every month. "Thank you for taking that worry away."
A tenant contacted the Financial Support Officers team as she was struggling with her finances. A Financial Support Officer visited the tenant and completed a complete benefits check. The tenant wasn't claiming any disability benefits despite having carers come in twice a day. An Attendance Allowance was claimed and awarded, which then meant she was entitled to Pension Credit Guaranteed credit and also a Housing benefit and Council tax reduction.
The Financial Support Officer assisted me with all of the claims in the comfort of my home. I am extremely grateful for their help, and I now feel much better able to afford my care costs.
