Low Income Family Tracker (LIFT)
What You Need to Know
What is LIFT?
- LIFT is a 12-month pilot project in Powys, funded by the Welsh Government.
- Uses Data sources such as Housing Benefit & Council Tax Reduction, Universal Credit and Housing Tenant Data.
Main Goals:
- Find tenants who might be missing out on financial support.
- Help families increase their income and get the support they need.
Focus Areas:
- Relative poverty
- Free school meals
- Bedroom tax
- Rent arrears
- Pension credit
- Support for people with disabilities or health issues
How does it work?
- Many Powys households have received letters about these campaigns.
- If you got a letter, you're invited to contact the council for free, confidential help.
- Support includes help with bills, benefits advice, budgeting, and debt management.
- Advice is tailored to your situation and available online, by phone, in person, or at home.
No time limit: You can get help even if you received a letter a while ago.
We are here to help whether you have received a letter or not.
