New Housing Developments
Powys County Council has made a commitment to develop 250 additional homes for social rent in Powys as part of Vision 2025. The properties will be good quality, sustainable, energy efficient and affordable to meet the needs of local communities across Powys.

The following schemes are currently being, or soon to be, developed:
Land adjacent to the Village Hall, Sarn
A mixed development of bungalows and houses consisting of the following:
4 x 2 bed bungalows
2 x 2 bed houses
1 x 3 bed house
Target completion date: February / March 2021
Land North of Heol-y-Ffynnon, Brecon
A mixed development of flats and houses consisting of the following:
12 x 1 bed walk up flats
14 x 2 bed houses
3 x 3 bed houses
3 x 4 bed houses
Target completion date: April / May 2021
Castle Estate, Clyro
A mixed development of bungalows, houses and flats consisting of the following:
1 x 2 bed bungalow
2 x 1 bed bungalows
4 x 1 bed walk up flats
4 x 2 bed houses

Target completion date: July / August 2021
Former Bowling Green, Back Lane, Newtown
A 3-storey development consisting of 26 one bedroom flats.
Target completion date: August / September 2021

New affordable homes register
Would-be homeowners and tenants in Powys and North Wales are being urged to join a new online affordable housing register to increase their chances of securing their dream home.
