The Training Unit is responsible for producing and delivering the Social Care Wales Workforce Development Programme (SCWWDP) on an annual basis. The Training Unit promotes the training programme within Powys County Council's Adults and Children's Services which encompasses carers, foster carers and adoptive parents together with the private, voluntary and independent sector (Wider Sector Organisations), and offers advice and guidance on meeting the required standards and targets.
