To be considered, you must be a Powys County Council employee and your application must be received 10 days in advance of the date of the Qualification Panel and any incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Purpose of Qualification Panel
To consider applications for any qualification or award which a member of staff may wish to undertake as part of their career pathway and continuing professional development (CPD) or continuing professional education and learning for social workers (CPEL).
To enable, encourage and facilitate staff to further continue with their personal and professional development.
To consider completed applications submitted for further qualifications/accredited awards by staff within:
- Social Services,
- the Children and Young People's Partnership,
- Health, and Education (ie Social Services staff working in integrated teams across Health and Education).
Please note applications from staff within the Business Support Unit will only be accepted where it is evidenced that they provide direct support to the Social Care Workforce.
To check that the line manager has demonstrated, on the application form, that the award or qualification applied for will support team and services strategies and is linked to these.
