Climate change - the Climate Emergency
Climate change is accelerating and everyone in Powys needs to act now to avoid its worst effects.
In 2020 Powys joined others in declaring a climate emergency, responding to the compelling evidence gathered by independent scientists around the world. Powys committed to the Welsh Government policy of reducing its use of fossil fuels and reducing its greenhouse gas emissions, to no more than the amount we remove from the atmosphere (Net Zero).
