We can support young people in a variety of ways, from having something to do, to dealing with life issues. We can help and support any young person in youth club or school.
Youth Club
All young people in Powys are welcome to attend their local youth club, where they will be able to relax and have fun in a safe and comfortable environment, as well as choosing activities they want to take part in. We also offer qualifications in a range of subjects and can provide information to enable young people to make informed life choices.
You can find your local youth club, on our 'find a youth club' page, with a link to their Facebook page, which can give you a taste of what's on.
School
Every high school has a Youth Worker at least once a week, where pupils are able to access information and advice; as well as providing drop-in sessions we sometimes lead an assembly, or deliver an issue-based group session.
In the Community
One of our core objectives is to ensure young people feel a like valued member of society. Many of our youth clubs work closely with their town council and local councillors, as well as other key community figures to help community cohesion.
In the past, youth clubs have helped redecorate and tidy up community areas and been a part of community events.
